UrbanLAN III
16th - 17th June 2007
Attendees 35
With the success of the previous event, UrbanLAN remained at Wintec expanding into N3.01 providing attendees with an R18 room for those wanting space from the younger participants. Most attendees were from around Hamilton however word of the event spread as far as Wellington.
The network consisted of Cisco 2950 Fast Ethernet (10/100) switches to attendee's computers with a Gigabit backbone running between each of the rooms.
The event went with only one hitch which occurred when an attendee's curiosity got the better of them. They pressed the room's power cut-off button subsequently cutting the power to all the computers in the room.
Wintec once again provided sponsorship in the form of catered meals, venue facilities, network equipment and Internet access.
